What is an IP address?
An IP address is a unique number assigned to each computer on the Internet. It helps each computer or server on the Internet find another computer.
Your web server is just a computer owned by your hosting company. It must have an IP address so that people can find your web site. The IP Address for your web site server will appear in your account information e-mail message when you first sign up with InterXstream.
